Functional Mushrooms
Functional mushrooms are non-psychedelic mushrooms that have traditionally been used as food or dietary supplements. They naturally contain compounds such as beta-glucans, polysaccharides, antioxidants, and other bioactive constituents that have made them popular in wellness products.
Some of the most well-known functional mushrooms include:
- Lion's Mane
- Cordyceps
- Chaga
- Tremella
- Reishi
- Turkey Tail
Unlike psychedelic mushrooms, functional mushrooms do not contain psilocybin and do not produce hallucinogenic effects.
